Tracking page revamp

AliExpress & Cainiao initiated a cross business collaboration to improve the overall logistics experience for our shoppers.

Introduction:

AliExpress is an e-commerce platform under the Alibaba group catered towards shoppers across the globe. Product the serves 190 countries with the core markets being North America, Spain, France, and Brazil the product is localised in 18 languages. I worked as a Content strategist in the global user experience design team where I worked on the product itself and supported strategy, UX writing (EN only), enabled localisation, and mentoring for new content strategists on the team.

Business challenge:

1. Bad localisation - part untranslated content with poor source and unclear jargon filled terms on the tracking page.

2. Low user-return rate due to bad tracking and logistics services.

My inputs & solutions:

1. Aligning business needs with user needs by creating a user journey map when the order is placed till the time the order is received by the user.

2. Cross business collaboration by aligning on tools, processes and clear deadlines and deliverables.

Results & impact:

1. Being a cross business collaboration. - we were able to establish a clear collaborative workaround on future projects

2. Improved UX maturity in the logistics business team

3. More strategic long-term thinking rather than short term return thinking
